
The excitement is at fever pitch for Atlanta Dream fans after the Angel Reesetrade was announced on Monday. The Dream gave up two future first-round picks in exchange for the two-time All-Star, which indicates just how much Atlanta values Reese.
The Dream had a successful 2025 campaign, finishing third overall with a 30-14 regular-season record. Unfortunately, they suffered a first-round loss to the Indiana Fever in the WNBA playoffs, putting an end to their memorable campaign.

The Dream are looking to take the next step this upcoming season, and Reese is expected to play an integral role in the same.

The Dream will kick off its season on May 10 against the Minnesota Lynx. Their next game is on May 12 against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings. Atlanta opens its campaign with two consecutive games on the road.
The Dream will play their first home game of the season on May 17. They will host the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, at State Farm Arena, with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET. This will also be Reese’s first home game for her new team.

The Dream took to social media on Tuesday to make an exciting announcement about the Aces game. They announced The Verizon Atlanta Dream Sweepstakes via an Instagram story.
According to the post, four tickets will be raffled off for the opening home game on May 17. The post also provided a link where fans can enter the sweepstakes.
There’s a lot of anticipation surrounding Reese’s first game in front of her new home fans. Supporters now get a chance to win free tickets for the big game via the sweepstakes.

Reese played a total of 64 games for the Sky in her first two seasons in the WNBA. She produced averages of 14.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 32.0 minutes per contest.
