The 2025 WNBA Canada Game will take place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on August 15 and feature the Atlanta Dream taking on the Seattle Storm.
The game itself will be the third time the league has played a game in Canada, but it will be the first to take place during the regular season.
The previous two WNBA Canada Games came during the preseason with the Storm and Los Angeles Sparks playing this past May at Rogers Place in Edmonton and the Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx meeting in 2023 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
This meeting will the fifth WNBA game to be played outside of the U.S. Along with the previous two WNBA Canada Games, the league also hosted games in Mexico in 2004 and England in 2011.
Earlier this month, the league unveiled its first expansion franchise outside of the U.S. with the Toronto Tempo, who will begin play in 2026 following the Golden State Valkyries, who will enter next season.
The Dream are coming off a 2024 season that saw them finish with a 15-25 and get bounced in the first round of the playoffs to the eventual WNBA champions, the New York Liberty. The Storm also fell in the opening round after a 25-15 regular season. They were eliminated in two games by the Las Vegas Aces.
Laeticia Amihere, who hails from Mississauga, Ontario, is currently the lone Canadian on either roster.
