Auburn football set to host four-star Safety for visit

by

Official visit slots are filling up quickly at Auburn with talented recruits that could change the trajectory of the program for the better.

One of those high-profile stars is Xavier Lherisse, a four-star safety from Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, Florida. Auburn has been high on Lherisse’s radar for months and has the chance to close the deal when he officially visits the Plains during the last weekend in May.

According to a report from Steve Wiltfong of On3, Lherisse will visit Auburn during the weekend of May 31. Auburn will be his first stop before visiting Oregon, Notre Dame, and Florida State in June.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Auburn the best chance to land Lherisse with a 30.5% prediction. Auburn’s high odds are due to the “home” atmosphere it gives Lherisse, and its move to promote TJ Rushing to safeties coach following the departure of Charles Kelly to Jax State.

“Auburn has always been good to me. I had a great relationship with Coach (Charles) Kelly and the defensive staff. When he took the head job at Jacksonville State, I was a little worried but they ended up hiring Coach (TJ) Rushing who I already had a relationship with when he was at Texas A&M,” Lherisse said in a recent interview with On3. “They also hired Coach Roc (Bellantoni) who I knew because we signed a kid to FAU this season. And Coach Roc recruited to him. I’ve been up (to Auburn) a couple times and I love the atmosphere. I can really see myself playing there.”

Lherisse is the No. 27 overall safety from the 2026 class according to On3’s industry rating but ranks as high as No. 7 overall by Rivals. Auburn’s 2026 class ranks No. 9 nationally according to 247Sports, and has one safety commit, three-star Maryland product Wayne Henry.
