Auburn receives prediction to land three-star OL Wilson Zierer

by

Auburn football is considered to be the front runner to land a talented 2026 offensive lineman from Georgia following a successful A-Day visit.

Cole Pinkston of Auburn Live has submitted a prediction for Auburn to land three-star offensive lineman Wilson Zierer with 60% confidence. Pinkston’s prediction comes after two recent visits from Zierer, most recently during Auburn’s A-Day practice at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Zierer is the younger brother of former Auburn lineman Kilian Zierer, who played left tackle for the Tigers from 2021-22 under Bryan Harsin. Sure, there is interest from Auburn due to the connection, but Hugh Freeze and the rest of the Auburn coaching staff foresee the younger Zierer brother being a strong piece to future teams.

“(The Auburn coaches) think it’s the right fit for me,” Zierer said in an interview with Auburn Live. “That’s why they are recruiting me so hard. They see me going here. They don’t want to recruit me just because my brother went here, but because it’s also the right fit for me.”

Zierer is a 6-6, 280-pound offensive tackle from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Rabun Gap, Georgia. Outside of Auburn, Zierer is receiving interest from several top programs such as Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, and USC. Pinkston’s prediction has increased Auburn’s forecast of landing Zierer to 96.6% according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, with Michigan next in like at 1.4%.
