The 2026 teams competing in the tournament are Auburn, Florida, Houston, Kansas, Notre Dame, Rutgers, UNLV, and West Virginia. The Tigers’ first opponent in the tournament will be West Virginia, while the rest of the matchups are Houston vs Rutgers, Florida vs Notre Dame, and Kansas vs UNLV.

It was 2023 when the Tigers and Mountaineers last took to the hardwood, where the Mountaineers won that game 80-77. The tournament begins on Nov. 17 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Auburn finished last season 22-16 and 7-11 in conference. The team missed the NCAA tournament but went on to win the NIT tournament as the No. 1 seed.
