After losing to the Auburn Tigers in the Sweet 16, the Michigan Wolverines are looking to enhance their roster to reach the Final Four next season.
Draft Express reported Saturday that former UAB star and one of the hottest names in the transfer portal, Yaxel Lendeborg, has committed to Michigan. Lendeborg entered the transfer portal on March 31, and Auburn was several Power programs that reached out to him, joining Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, Memphis, and ultimate sweepstakes winner, Michigan.

Lendeborg led the American Athletic Conference in rebounds this season (11.4 per game) and was second in blocks (1.8 per game). He was also in the top five in steals (1.7 per game) and points scored (17.7). The 6-9 forward from Puerto Rico led the nation in double-doubles with 26.
Auburn explored the option of adding Lendeborg with the departures of Johni Broome and Chaney Johnson looming. However, Bruce Pearl’s squad will be in great shape at the power forward position next season. This week, Auburn landed UCF transfer Keyshawn Hall, who averaged 18.8 points and 7.1 rebounds for the Knights this season. Auburn will also have a talented high school forward joining the program next season in Sebastian Williams-Adams, the No. 4 overall recruit from Texas and the No. 10 forward from the 2026 cycle.
Auburn is in pursuit of several key names from the transfer portal, including Kansas center Flory Bidunga. Pearl and the Auburn coaching staff will look to capitalize on another opportunity to land Bidunga after he chose the Jayhawks over Auburn in 2023.
