Fylling called 34 NCAA tournament appearances between football and men’s and women’s basketball, including the 2016 men’s national championship and 2014 women’s Final Four trip.

Augustana is planning a moment of silence before both the women’s and men’s basketball games on Thursday, Feb. 12, against Minnesota State.

The women tip at 5:30 p.m., and the men are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.

Additionally, JJ Hartigan, the current radio voice for Augustana basketball, will be leaving a seat open and headset out every game in Fylling’s memory.

Augustana Assistant Athletics Director for Communications Andrew Thurston said he expects Fylling’s life to be celebrated and honored more, especially once football season rolls around.
