The damage to Austin Bashi’s face is as bad as it looked after UFC Fight Night 281.
Bashi (14-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) suffered a unanimous decision loss to fellow featherweight prospect Jose Delgado (12-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) on Saturday at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. He got dropped with a massive punch in the opening round, but showed toughness by pushing through and finding some moments of success in his own right over 15 minutes.

The early shot was a game changer for Delgado, though, because the right eye of Bashi swelled and closed over the remainder of the fight. Despite the loss, Bashi was in good spirits and revealed post-fight that he was diagnosed with “little” fractures to his orbital bone and nose.
