The Colorado Buffaloes, led by head coach Deion Sanders, have held the spotlight in the college football scene for the past several years.

Sanders has been with the program for the past two seasons, helping lead Colorado to a bowl game last season. In his second year with the program, the Buffaloes went 9-4, losing to the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl.
While Colorado has been thriving on the field, they have also found success outside of the white lines under Sanders’ leadership.
On Friday, Colorado announced the football program’s highest-ever spring GPA of a 2.957.
“The standard is the standard,” posted the official social media account of the Colorado Buffaloes. “SMART • TOUGH • FAST • DISCIPLINED • WITH CHARACTER The Herd made history this spring, earning a 2.957 GPA — the highest ever for Colorado Football in a spring semester.”
After the release of the news, some fans took to social media to comment on the historic announcement made by the Colorado Buffaloes.

“Expected nothing less from these STUDENT-athletes,” said one fan.
“Yet anonymous sources saying CU is a circus,” mentioned one fan.
“PERIOD,” commented one fan.
“Deion raising the standard,” said one fan.
Others were not impressed with the student-athletes’ GPA.

Last season, the Colorado Buffaloes were led by one of the best quarterbacks in the nation, Deion Sanders’ son Shedeur Sanders, and the most outstanding player in college football, Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.

While the two played a pivotal role in helping improve the program, Deion Sanders will surely miss the core from his first two seasons at Colorado.
