The Texas Longhorns are fresh off consecutive College Football Playoff semifinal appearances, and are hoping that quarterback Arch Manning can be the catalyst that gets them to a championship level.
During the 2024 season, the Longhorns silenced the critics who proclaimed they would struggle in the SEC, making it to the conference title game in their first year in the conference. Although they lost a nail-biter to Georgia in the SEC Championship, they ultimately made the playoff, winning two games and coming within a few plays of playing for a title.

While the 2024 season is long gone and there are around 100 days until the start of next season, the Longhorns are still finding ways to impress fans.
On Thursday, the program shared that the team set a new record for its spring semester GPA, boasting a 3.31.
As a result of the announcement, fans made sure to congratulate the team on its success in the classroom.
“Championship here we come,” predicted one fan.
“Academic weapons! Congrats fellas,” wrote a second.
“Starts in the classroom. This is awesome,” said another.
“Good work fellas,” commented a fourth.
“We’ve come so far,” added another after referencing the team’s one-time high of a 2.89 in 2019.

In addition to the team posting a program record GPA, athletic director Chris Del Conte also revealed that every single player on the team recorded a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
“Who you are some of the time is who you are all of the time… on a sidenote, everyone team posted at a 3.0 or higher GPA for the spring semester! 🌎🤘🏽,” wrote Del Conte.
The record GPA also marked the third straight semester that the team GPA record has been broken.
With the Longhorns thriving on and off of the field, it may be difficult to find a program that is as successful in all facets as the team in Burnt Orange down in Austin.
