Oscar Piastri put a gap between himself and the competition as McLaren continued their dominance in final practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday.
Piastri, after topping FP2, was 0.668 seconds quicker than teammate Lando Norris in Saturday’s final session before qualifying, which although took place in unrepresentative daylight conditions at Sakhir proved an ominous sight for rivals.
The closest non-McLaren driver to Piastri was Charles Leclerc in third, 0.8s off the pace.
Qualifying takes place later on Saturday.
