Bedlam women’s basketball to renew Cowgirls-Sooners rivalry at Paycom Center

by

After a one-year hiatus, the Bedlam women’s basketball rivalry is set to resume at Paycom Center as part of a men’s and women’s doubleheader.

The games are set for Dec. 13, and fans will be able to purchase one ticket that will be good for both games. No tipoff times have been announced yet.

The OU and Oklahoma State men’s teams played at Paycom last December, and the news of their next meeting had previously been reported. However, the women’s teams were unable to organize a matchup last year in the aftermath of OU’s move to the Southeastern Conference.

“It was an incredible experience for Oklahoma City to fill the arena with both OSU and OU fans in 2024,” Paycom Center general manager Chris Semrau said in a press release. “We are honored to not only continue to host the Bedlam tradition, but also expand it by adding the women’s game.”

Tickets allotted to the universities became available Thursday via presale through the schools’ ticket offices. Tickets for the general public will be available Aug. 1.
