We are about one week away from the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Heading into the Big Dance, the Michigan Wolverines are tied as the favorites to win it all, according to FanDuel.
Michigan (+320) tied as the favorite to win the NCAA Tournament
The Wolverines (+320) are having a historic season. Michigan is the No. 2 team in the latest KenPom and NET rankings, sitting just behind the Duke Blue Devils. The Wolverines are No. 5 in offense and No. 1 in defense this season, per KenPom, and held top-ranked Duke to just 68 points in their loss.

Sitting at 29-2, Michigan’s only two losses came against Duke and Wisconsin by a combined eight points. Meanwhile, the Wolverines lead all of college basketball with 10 wins by 30 or more points, including seven wins by 40+ and one by 50+. They are the first team since 1996-97 to achieve three 30+ point wins over ranked opponents in a single season.
Simply put, when Michigan is at its best, it can easily beat any team in the country.
Duke (+320), Arizona (+550) and Florida (+600) are also considered threats
The Blue Devils (+320) came up just short in the Final Four last season and have replaced first overall NBA pick Cooper Flagg with another potential top pick in Cameron Boozer. After their lone conference loss to North Carolina earlier this season, Duke has been on fire, most recently beating the Tar Heels by 15 points last weekend.

Arizona (+550) and Florida (+600) are the other teams in the favorites category. Arizona has been extremely consistent all season despite injuries, winning six straight games to close the regular season. Florida has looked like the reigning champs over the final stretch of the season, winning 11 in a row and cruising to the SEC regular-season title.
Ohio State, Stanford and VCU trending to make the final cut
Looking at the bubble to make the tournament, fellow Big Ten rival Ohio State is hoping it did just enough to make the cut. The Buckeyes took down fellow bubble team Indiana on Saturday with a 91-78 win and now sit at 20-11 (12-8 in Big Ten). Ohio State finished the regular season on a three-game winning streak, including a Quad 1 win over Purdue.
As for Stanford, the Cardinal improved to 20-11 after their fifth Quad 1 win this season by taking down NC State this week, which could weigh heavily when comparing their resume to other bubble teams.

Finally, VCU (24-7) finished its regular season with a 15-3 record in A-10 play, which actually was tied with Saint Louis for first in the conference standings, although the Billikens earned the outright regular season championship with a 2-0 record against the Rams this season. VCU has won 13 of its past 14 games and will need a few wins in the conference tournament to leapfrog some of the others on the edge.
