Two weeks into the 2025 season, and some dudes are already playing like they’ve got something to prove. Whether it’s quarterbacks airing it out, backs eating up yardage, or receivers putting on route-running clinics this year’s stat leaders are starting to shape up. The Big Ten’s got ballers across the board, from familiar vets to young names already making noise. These early numbers won’t crown anybody just yet, but they definitely tell us who’s hot and who’s got that dog in ‘em heading into Week 3.Let’s break it down.
Passing Leaders: Jayden Maiava Putting USC on His Back
The Big Ten’s top quarterback right now? USC’s Jayden Maiava, and it’s not even close. The junior’s slinging it at a wild clip 303.5 yards per game with a 73.8% completion rate and 4 touchdowns already. He’s cooking defenses like it’s light work.Right behind him is Dylan Raiola, Nebraska’s freshman sensation, already putting up 262.5 yards per game with 5 TDs. Dude looks way ahead of schedule. Illinois’ Luke Altmyer and Maryland’s Malik Washington are keeping pace too, sitting comfortably above the 200 yards/game mark.Notable name to watch? Drew Allar. The Penn State senior has thrown for 208.5 yards/game and 2 TDs on the year. Not flashy yet, but steady. And knowing Allar, once he finds rhythm with his guys, it’s gonna click.

Rushing Leaders: Jonah Coleman Running the Show
Washington running back Jonah Coleman is going full beast mode through two games. He’s got 288 yards on just 39 carries—that’s 144.0 yards per game and 7.38 YPC, which is crazy efficient. Dude’s exploding off every handoff.Michigan’s Justice Haynes isn’t far off either, with 272 yards and a solid 17.50 yards per game mark, while Nebraska’s Emmett Johnson is doing damage with 248 yards on 39 touches.Kaytron Allen deserves his flowers too. The Penn State bruiser sits at 187 yards, averaging 6.79 YPC, showing that he’s still a problem to bring down. If the Nittany Lions lean on him more, expect him to climb fast.
Receiving Leaders: Maika Lemon is HIM
USC’s Maika Lemon is a cheat code. After two weeks, the junior wideout has 248 receiving yards, averaging 22.55 yards per catch, and putting up a wild 124.0 yards/game. That man is straight burning DBs left and right.Hank Beatty from Illinois and Ian Strong from Rutgers are also tearing it up, both above 215 yards on the season. Jeremiah Smith, the young baller from Ohio State, and Jayden Barney Jr. at Nebraska are showing they can be go-to guys too.
