Boogie Fland, a former Kentucky Wildcats signee and 5-star guard in the class of 2024, has officially committed to the Florida Gators — fresh off their national championship run.
Fland originally signed with Kentucky under John Calipari but requested a release from his National Letter of Intent after Calipari departed for Arkansas. The 6-foot-2 combo guard followed Calipari to Fayetteville and enrolled at Arkansas.

During his freshman campaign, Fland appeared in 18 games and averaged 15.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 36.5% from 3-point range. His season was interrupted by a right-hand injury he sustained in a January 11 matchup against Florida. He attempted to play through it over the next two games but eventually missed several weeks to recover.
Fland made his return off the bench during Arkansas’ NCAA Tournament run, contributing solid minutes in matchups against Kansas, St. John’s, and Texas Tech—averaging just under 18 minutes per game.
After finishing his freshman season, he entered his name in the 2025 NBA Draft while also entering the transfer portal. However, after evaluating his options, Fland withdrew his name from the draft and has now opted to transfer to Florida for the upcoming season.
This move is a significant pickup for new Florida head coach Todd Golden, giving the Gators another high-level playmaker as they look to defend their title. Fland brings elite quickness, perimeter shot creation, and defensive toughness to a roster already brimming with momentum.
