Boogie Fland, the star guard, is officially pulling out of the 2025 NBA Draft—and suddenly becomes one of the hottest names in the college basketball world.
The former five-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American has withdrawn from both the draft and the NBA Draft Combine, according to multiple reports. Fland, who spent his freshman year at Arkansas, averaged 15.1 points and 5.7 assists in 18 games before a hand injury sidelined him in January for the rest of the season.

With his return to college now confirmed, the next question is: where will the young basketball phenom land after this turn-around decision?

All signs point toward the reigning champs
Fland entered the transfer portal before the NCAA deadline and is now arguably the best player still available. According to ESPN and several outlets, the Florida Gators—fresh off their national championship win—have emerged as the favorites to land him. Florida is in need of a creative lead guard to pair with Princeton transfer Xaivian Lee, and Fland fits the mold perfectly.
Florida’s roster has been reshuffled since cutting down the nets, but adding a high-ceiling guard like Fland could solidify their status as early favorites to repeat. His ability to score off the dribble and facilitate in transition makes him one of the most intriguing names on the market.

While no official commitment has been made, the momentum surrounding a potential Gators-Fland pairing is growing quickly. If he lands in Gainesville, Boogie Fland might just be the final piece that keeps Florida on top of college basketball for another season.
