Brad Cooper: Harlequins sign Super Rugby champions’ attack coach

by

Harlequins have appointed Brad Cooper as their new attack coach, as they continue to reshape their backroom staff for the 2026-27 season.

Cooper joins from Super Rugby champions Hurricanes, who averaged 41 points per game during the regular season, and scored 114 tries on their way to the trophy.

“It’s clear there’s a real ambition here to play rugby with tempo, and that’s exactly the environment I want to be part of,” Cooper told the club’s website, external.

“This is a great chance to help shape an attacking identity at a club with such history, and test myself as a coach in the northern hemisphere in the Gallagher Prem.”

Cooper will join Great Britain rugby league legend Sean Long and former Quins player Jordan Turner-Hall on the first-team backroom staff.

They will work under head coach Jason Gilmore as Quins aim to shake off a malaise that meant they finished ninth in the Prem table this season, their worst performance for eight years.
