PEORIA — The Bradley Braves got their first player of the NCAA transfer portal season Saturday night.
Trevon Payton, a 6-foot-5 combo guard from Lilburn, Ga., announced his commitment to the Braves. The redshirt junior played for Arkansas-Pine Bluff in 2025-26.

He started 32 games and averaged 10.0 points for the Golden Lions, with 94 assists and 47.1% shooting from 3-point range.
He is an efficient player and fits the size profile the Braves are looking for under head coach Brian Wardle.

Pine Bluff went 13-19 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference in 2025-26.
