Don’t let Eli Drinkwitz get on a heater, folks. We know how that turns out.
A few days after landing East St. Louis safety Jabarri Lofton, Mizzou’s 2027 high school recruiting class has added yet another member in OL Lual Aleu out of Winton Woods in Cincinnati.
Rivals/On3 and 247 both have Aleu listed as a three-star prospect, but his star is rising in the recruiting game. Aleu boasts offers from several SEC schools as well as a few other Power Four programs.

Aleu’s recruiting profiles list him as an interior lineman, though his high school highlights almost exclusively show him at the tackle position. It might be that scouts see him moving inside at the college level, which makes a lot of sense to me. He’s got the frame and the strength to bang bodies inside, and his tape doesn’t show off the athleticism that you often see from high-end tackles in the SEC. That’s not to say Aleu can’t develop that in a Division I weight room, but he likely faces a shorter path to playing time as a guard or center.
