Breanna Stewart Announces Historic News on Thursday

Breanna Stewart has built one of the most impressive resumes in women’s basketball, and now she’s taking that same energy into the business world. The New York Liberty forward is a three-time WNBA champion, a two-time Finals MVP and a two-time league MVP.

In 2025, she signed a one-year $208,400 deal with the New York Liberty, fully guaranteed but still below the supermax threshold of $241,984 she qualified for. She averaged 18.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists that season.

Across nine seasons with the Seattle Storm and New York Liberty, Stewart has averaged 20.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists over 292 regular-season games. That kind of profile opens doors, and Stewart is walking through them.

She is now crossing into business territory alongside NFL star Patrick Mahomes. The Unrivaled co-founder recently partnered with Throne SPORT COFFEE, becoming the brand’s first female athlete ambassador, per Fox Business.

The product leans on natural caffeine, a full daily value of Vitamin B complex and NSF Certified for Sport credentials, a combination Stewart said clicked immediately.

“It just seems really natural and fitting for me,” Stewart said. “I think that being an athlete, being a mom, there’s so many reasons why we constantly need caffeine. But to have it in a healthy way, and also have the protein in it — every time I walk in the gym, I’m having one. I’m letting everyone know that not only am I drinking coffee, but I’m getting so much positive protein benefit as well.”

She also shared that mocha, salted caramel and plain black are her go-to options. Stewart noted that the partnership carries extra weight given who else is involved.

“It’s a huge win and I think just to see athletes like myself [and] Patrick Mahomes continue to partner with Throne just shows why,” she added.

That alignment with the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback feels right on brand for Stewart. Off the court, she’s balancing motherhood and building something bigger than basketball.
