Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight Brett Johns submitted Levan Kirtadze in under three minutes with a Suloev stretch last night (Sat., Aug. 10, 2025) in the main event of Way of the Warrior (WOW) 21, which took place inside Auditorio Marbella in Marbella, Spain.
For the opening minute and a half, Kirtadze held the edge, outstriking Johns on the feet and in the clinch. At the 2:44 mark, Johns executed a nice hip throw, landing in half guard, and took full control from there.
Johns unleashed ground-and-pound, swiftly transitioned to Kirtadze’s back, and secured the rare Suloev stretch, forcing the tap.
Check out the submission below:
Returning after a year-long hiatus, Johns (21-5) snapped a two-fight skid with this victory. The Welsh fighter had previously dropped consecutive bouts in the 2024 PFL season, leading to his release.
“Pikey” competed seven times in the UFC before exploring free agency, later signing with Bellator, where he posted a 2-1 record before joining the PFL.
The 33-year-old has his sights set on the WOW FC Featherweight title, which would mark his third MMA championship, alongside Cage Warriors and Titan FC. Could a second UFC stint be on the horizon?
Kirtadze (13-6), meanwhile, has now lost two consecutive fights and four of his last five.
