The WNBA training camp got underway this weekend and the action on the court will heat up quickly. In fact, May 2 marks the start of exhibition games. The Indiana Fever play their first preseason game on May 3, but the excitement continues to build for a big game coming up.
Caitlin Clark and her Fever teammates will head to Iowa City, Iowa, on May 4 to take on the Brazilian National Team. It will be the first time the Fever take the court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the former home of Clark, the top pick in the 2024 WNBA draft.

While that game is sold out, many of Clark’s former teammates are excited to see her return as well. On Sunday, Iowa women’s basketball reminded fans of the event:
One notable teammate, Gabbie Marshall, sent a strong response regarding the news: “I can’t wait to see my friend play again… it’s been SO long!!!!!!”

Marshall played at Iowa from 2019 to 2024, appearing in 166 games. She played alongside Clark for four seasons. In 2022-23 and 2023-24, the Hawkeyes lost in the NCAA Tournament title game. In her final season, Marshall averaged 6.1 points per game.
Clark, of course, was outstanding during her rookie season with the Fever. She scored 19.2 points per game during the regular season. The Fever reached the postseason but lost both games to the Connecticut Sun. During those two games, Clark played 38 minutes per game and scored 18 points per game.
