The Indiana Fever fell to the Atlanta Dream 113-96 on Saturday, getting outscored in the final three quarters and dropping their second straight to Angel Reese and the Dream.
Atlanta shot a blistering 50% from the floor and 46% from 3-point range, led by Rhyne Howard who scored 24 points on 4 of 10 shooting from deep. Allisha Gray ended with 22 points, making 9 of 18 from the field, and Jordin Canada had a near triple-double, finishing with 12 points, 12 assists, and seven rebounds to go along with three steals.

Reese, meanwhile, walked away with 18 points and eight rebounds, making her the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 career rebounds.
Atlanta bullied Indiana inside, scoring 54 points in the paint to the Fever’s 34, and, thanks in large part to Reese, out-rebounded the Fever 12-4 on the offensive glass.
One of the lone bright spots for Indiana was again Caitlin Clark, who dropped 26 points on an efficient 11 of 18 shooting, including 3 of 7 from deep, to go with seven assists.
That stat line also pushed her past 300 points and 100 assists for the season, in just 16 games. That’s a new WNBA record for the fastest player to hit that combo to start a season, breaking her own previous record of 19 games, which she set back in her 2024 rookie campaign.

Historical achievements aside, Saturday’s loss in Atlanta hurts if you’re a Fever fan. You’ve just been swept by the same team twice in under 48 hours, and the team you lost to features a player your franchise star has a long, tense history with: Angel Reese. This is one you needed to win, especially if you’re a Clark supporter.
The Dream now sit atop the Eastern Conference at 11-4, while the Fever rank third in the East, clinging to a 9-7 overall record behind Atlanta and the second-place New York Liberty (11-5).

Back-to-back losses are never easy. Losing to Reese and the Dream makes it even worse. And things won’t get any easier from here.
Up next, Indiana hosts Phoenix twice in three days (Monday and Wednesday), then welcomes the Sparks on June 27 before heading out west for a difficult stretch of road games against Las Vegas (twice), L.A., and Phoenix.
