The Indiana Fever may be getting their biggest star back at the perfect time. Ahead of Wednesday night’s road matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks, the Fever released their official injury report, and it included encouraging news for Caitlin Clark. After missing Indiana’s last two games with a lingering back injury, Clark has been listed as probable to play.

The update is a major boost for a Fever team looking to build momentum as it continues its push toward the top of the WNBA standings. While Clark appears to be trending toward a return, Indiana is still monitoring another key starter heading into the nationally televised matchup.

Caitlin Clark trending toward return

The Fever announced Tuesday that Clark is probable for Wednesday’s game because of a back injury. Clark has not played since Indiana’s June 24 loss to the Phoenix Mercury, sitting out the team’s previous two contests while continuing to recover. Despite her absence, the Fever managed to stay competitive thanks to strong performances from Kelsey Mitchell, Sophie Cunningham and the rest of the roster.

Now, all signs point toward Clark making her return against Los Angeles. The 2026 All-Star starter has once again been one of the WNBA’s most productive players this season, averaging 21.2 points, 8.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds through 17 games. She also continues to rank among the league leaders in assists while serving as the engine of Indiana’s offense.

If she’s officially cleared before tipoff, the Fever will welcome back one of the league’s biggest difference-makers.
