It was a night to remember for the Indiana Fever. Despite being without star guard Caitlin Clark, Stephanie White’s team earned an impressive 74-59 win over the Minnesota Lynx on the road.
Clark missed her third straight game due to a groin injury. Through Indiana’s first 17 games of the season, she has now sat out eight total contests.

After a sluggish start, the Fever took control and dominated the final three quarters. Minnesota led 20-12 after the first, but Indiana answered with a 20-7 second quarter to take a 32-27 lead into halftime. The Fever added 42 more points in the second half while holding the Lynx to 32, cruising to a 15-point victory.

Natasha Howard earned Commissioner’s Cup MVP honors with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Aliyah Boston also came up big, finishing with 12 points and 11 boards. Guard Sophie Cunningham added 13 points, while Kelsey Mitchell and Aari McDonald each chipped in 12.
Alanna Smith led Minnesota with 15 points in the loss. The Lynx were aiming to win the Commissioner’s Cup for the second consecutive year, which would have made them the first team in WNBA history to win the event multiple times.

Indiana’s celebration included a memorable moment, with Clark, who starred at the University of Iowa and was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, joining her teammates in popping champagne after the victory.
The Fever return to action Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where they will host the Las Vegas Aces. Clark’s status for that game is listed as questionable.
