Caitlin Clark is heading into her second season in the WNBA with virtually unrealistic expectations. She is the favorite to win the WNBA MVP award (plus-220) per FanDuel Sportsbook. And she has her new-look Indiana Fever team in line to make a real run at a championship.
Clark and the Fever got off on the right foot on Saturday during their opening game against the Chicago Sky. After major hype surrounding the next iteration of Clark vs. Angel Reese, Clark and the Fever quickly put the flame out on this matchup.

The Fever jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back. They walked away with a 93-58 blowout victory behind Clark’s historic performance.
Clark made WNBA history multiple times over on Saturday, including the youngest and fastest player to reach three career-triple-doubles, however, this particular stat-line has never been seen before in the history of the WNBA.
Clark finished with 20 points, 10 assists, 10 rebounds, and four blocks. Per @StatMamba on X, these numbers have never been accomplished in a single game since the league’s inception in 1997.
The basketball world is used to seeing Clark set new records, but it appears she has taken her game to heights that have never been seen before.

Clark added four made 3-pointers and two steals to go along with her historic stat-line. While shooting comparisons have always been drawn between Clark and Stephen Curry, this is extremely high praise whether it comes from fellow players or fans.
Clark’s next chance at WNBA history will come on Tuesday when they host the Atlanta Dream. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. EDT on NBATV.
