One of Caitlin Clark’s big projects off the basketball court came to fruition just before the start of the 2025 WNBA season.
Clark and the Indiana Fever are set to kick off their 2025 campaign with a much-anticipated matchup against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Saturday.

However, before the action begins, Clark shared a big announcement via social media just four days before she officially returns to the court for her sophomore year in the WNBA.
On Tuesday, Weeks Middle School in Clark’s hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, announced the unveiling of four new mini-pitch systems. The Fever guard, through the Caitlin Clark Foundation, teamed up with Musco Lighting to donate the first-ever Caitlin Clark Foundation Community Court.
The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year had team practice on Tuesday and was not able to attend the unveiling ceremony, but she shared the news via her Instagram stories.Â
“This particular pitch is the first-ever @caitlinclarkfoundation Community Court. While Musco Lighting has been a strong supporter in developing other soccer mini-pitches at Des Moines Public Schools, support from the @caitlinclark22 Foundation is enabling the outdoor facility to be set up for basketball along with soccer and futsal,” read an excerpt from the post.

According to a report by the Des Moines Register, each of the four pitches is equipped with soccer goals, basketball hoops, lighting and benches. The cost of the entire project is estimated to be above $500,000.

Clark continues to make waves outside the basketball court through her engagement with the community. All her extracurricular activities, however, will need to take a backseat now that the new WNBA season is approaching.
The former Iowa superstar had a historic rookie campaign last season, but she would want to take it a step further in 2025 as the Fever look to potentially compete for a championship.
