Caitlin Clark is set to begin her third year with the Indiana Fever, opening the 2026 WNBA season with a matchup against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings on May 9. In 2025, the Fever’s season ended after a surprising playoff run, falling to A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces in Game 5 of the semifinals.
Clark appeared in just 13 games during her second season in Indiana, but still secured an All-Star nod after averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. The former Iowa Hawkeyes point guard was forced to miss most of the regular season and the entire playoffs after dealing with numerous injuries throughout, most notably to her groin and her ankle.

But before the Fever begin the regular season against the Wings, they have already started training camp, looking to finalize the roster before May 9. And the Fever have two preseason games on the books at the end of April, including Saturday’s matchup on the road against Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty, along with another game against Bueckers and the Wings on Thursday.
On Friday, Clark and other Fever players such as Sophie Cunningham, Lexie Hull and Aliyah Boston joined ION to promote their upcoming preseason games, which will be aired on the television network. And toward the end of the clip, Clark urged Fever fans to “tune in” to the preseason matchups as the 2026 WNBA regular season inches closer.

“The WNBA is back on ION,” the Fever players said. “The Fever have two preseason games. This Saturday, 3 p.m., we’re playing the Liberty. And Thursday, April 30, at 7 p.m. vs. the Wings. Tune in.”
The Fever will open the regular season against the Wings on Saturday, May 9, at 1:00 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse before hitting the road to face Cam Brink and the Los Angeles Sparks on May 13.
