Caitlin Clark, still sidelined with a groin injury, watched as the Indiana Fever ended a two-game losing streak, defeating the Chicago Sky 92-70 on Saturday night.

Despite the win, Indiana was without all three of their point guards. Clark remained out for a 10th straight game, while Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald both suffered season-ending injuries in Thursday’s game against the Mercury.
With a sudden point guard problem popping up for the Fever, they quickly added another player who could fill the role.
Fever Sign Guard Odyssey Sims
With the season-ending injuries to Colson and McDonald, the Fever qualified for a hardship roster spot, bringing in guard Odyssey Sims on a seven-day contract.

“We have signed Odyssey Sims to a hardship contract,” the Fever wrote on X. “Welcome to Indy, Odyssey 🙌”

Sims is a proven league veteran, but at 33, she is entering the latter stages of her career. She spent the first half of the 2025 WNBA season with the Los Angeles Sparks before being waived in early July.
Sims Reacts to Signing With Fever
Following the Fever’s roster addition, Sims took to social media to express her excitement, posting two separate messages on her Instagram Story.

“☺️☺️ but GOD DID!!” Sims wrote in her first post.
“It’s official! Let’s gooo!!!” she added in the second.
Looking at Sims’ WNBA Career
Sims played four years with the Baylor Bears before being selected No. 2 overall in the 2014 WNBA Draft by the Tulsa Shock, now the Dallas Wings. She starred in her three seasons with the Shock/Wings, earning All-Rookie Team honors and averaging at least 14 points per game each year.
Following the 2016 WNBA season, Sims was traded to the Sparks, where she saw a decrease in her role. After two seasons in L.A., she made her way to the Minnesota Lynx, where she made her lone All-Star appearance in 2019.
Since then, Sims has bounced around multiple teams in the WNBA, returning to the Sparks in 2024 and to begin 2025. In 12 games played this year, Sims is averaging 9.8 points on 41.7% shooting, 2.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
