The Indiana Fever are more than ready for the 2026 WNBA season. Indiana will be in the national spotlight for every regular season game this summer. Expectations will be huge for the Fever in 2026 now that their best player is finally back following an injury-plagued 2025 campaign.

Fever guard Caitlin Clark shared her plan for the team’s first preseason game against the Liberty.
“Caitlin Clark says she’ll play 20-25 minutes today — not a minutes restriction, but just how they’re strategizing the game,” Clark said on Saturday per Indy Star’s Chloe Peterson. “Says they’ll treat the first half like a regular game, then use the second to let younger players get some run.”
Indiana’s preseason games will be crucial for getting Clark into peak condition before the regular season. So it is great to hear that she will be getting a healthy amount of minutes.
Clark only played in 13 games in 2025 before missing time with multiple injuries. She suffered quad, ankle, and groin injuries that forced her to miss most of the season.

If Clark can play like the WNBA’s best player then Indiana will be forced to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference.
Fever fans should keep their eyes on rookie Raven Johnson when Clark is on the bench.
Indiana drafted Johnson in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Draft. She could be Indiana’s backup point guard in 2026, playing Clark’s role as a distributor and perimeter shooter when the superstar needs some rest.
Fever at LIberty tips off at 3PM ET from Barclays Center in New York.
