Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever to an 85-76 win over Brittney Sykes and the Washington Mystics, moving to 3-4 through seven games. Without Clark, Mitchell had one of her best games of 2025, tallying 24 points on 50% shooting and three assists.
But Clark wasn’t the only former Iowa Hawkeyes star to sit out Tuesday night’s game. Mystics rookie Lucy Olsen also didn’t log any minutes, despite being available.
Once Clark left Iowa after the 2023-24 college basketball season, Olsen transferred in from Villanova to take her place. In her lone season with the Hawkeyes (2024-25), she averaged 15.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists, becoming the No. 23 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
After Tuesday’s game, both Clark and Olsen linked up midcourt with a warm greeting. The two were seen hugging and exchanging a few words before heading their separate ways.
WNBA fans appreciated the interaction between the two ex-Iowa stars, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.

“So glad this was captured! Love them,” wrote a third.
“When two athletes respect each other,” commented a fourth.
“finally some caitlin and lucy content,” posted a fifth.
“I COME BACK ON FOR 5 MIN WITH A FEVER DUB AND THE LUCY AND CC INTERACTION I WANTED,” exclaimed a sixth.

The loss against Indiana marked the first game of 2025 that Olsen has not played. In her seven WNBA appearances so far, she is averaging 3.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists.
The Fever will have one game remaining before Clark’s potential return (June 10), facing the Chicago Sky on Saturday. The Mystics, on the other hand, will get the New York Liberty on Thursday.
