Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark is one of the biggest names in all of women’s sports. Clark was taken with the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Fever after an incredible career in college with the Iowa Hawkeyes.
In her two years in the WNBA, Clark has played 53 games, scoring 18.5 points to go along with 5.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.4 steals per contest. She has made the All-Star game in both seasons, while being an All-WNBA first team selection and winning the Rookie of the Year Award in 2024.

Clark played just 13 games during the 2025 season, averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.6 steals per contest. She was limited because of a major groin injury and bone bruising in her left knee.
Heading into her third season with the Fever, Clark and the rest of the WNBA Player’s Association agreed to a new collective bargaining agreement with the league.

With this new CBA, Clark’s expected to get a huge increase in salary along with other stars, as broken down by Spotrac.
“Notable Projected WNBA Salary Increases per the new CBA
Aliyah Boston: $94k -> $574k
Caitlin Clark: $85k -> $528k
Paige Bueckers: $80k -> $500k
Cameron Brink: $85k -> $493k
Sonia Citron: $80k -> $436k
Angel Reese: $75k -> $350k,” Spotrac’s post read.
In her first two years in the WNBA, Clark made $76,535 and $78,066, respectively. This massive jump has to do with accolades that Clark has won in previous seasons.

Clark’s new salary brought in a host of reactions online.
“Big pay increase for #Fever stars Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston,” said one user.
“So the difference between a top 3 pick versus a top ten pick is almost 150k? Eish,” wrote another.
“Now more young girls will dream about going to the W,” chimed in another user.
With this new salary, Clark would be the third-highest paid player in the league behind Indiana forward Aliyah Boston ($574k) and Dallas Wings guard Diamond Miller ($536k).

“Diamond miller getting paid more than AR , CC , Paige frying me,” the comments continued.
“Once the Caitlin Clark wave is over in a few years, the WNBA is going bankrupt. They won’t be able to keep up with the salaries,” said one pessimistic user.
“This is great but what happens when the Caitlin Clark affect wears off and they are back to 3000 fans per game? League will go under,” wrote another.
Clark and the Fever will begin their 2026 WNBA preseason on April 25 against the New York Liberty.
