Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever entered the season with WNBA title hopes and proved they were in the mix from game one.

The Fever earned a 93-58 victory over Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, starting a new season on the right note.

Before Clark’s second season with the Fever, Indiana made some key additions to its roster, including DeWanna Bonner, Sophie Cunningham and Natasha Howard.

In the first game of the season, Bonner completed a historic feat.

Bonner earned the No. 3 spot on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list. Throughout her WNBA career, Bonner has scored 7,489 points.

Bonner passed Tina Thompson (7,488 points) for the No. 3 spot on the prestigious list.

After the historic feat, Bonner took to social media, sharing an enlightening post to fans online.

Clark shared the post on social media, showing support for the Indiana Fever star.

After the historic announcement, DeWanna Bonner shared her thoughts on the career feat. She now sits behind Diana Taurasi and Tina Charles on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list.

DeWanna Bonner finished her first game with the Indiana Fever with seven points, three rebounds and two assists.

Before playing alongside Caitlin Clark on the Fever, Bonner played 11 seasons with the Phoenix Mercury and five seasons with the Connecticut Sun.

Bonner needs 208 points to pass Charles for second place on the all-time scoring list. Taurasi stands head and shoulders above the rest with 10,646 career points.
