Carmel offensive lineman Sankeerth Veluri announced his commitment to Purdue football as a walk-on on social media.
Veluri, a 6-5, 285-pounder, who was previously committed to Army, also had a walk-on offer from Indiana. He held offers to many Ivy League programs, Indiana State and at least one Mid-American Conference team.

The Boilermakers are trying to bounce back from a 1-11 season under new coach Barry Odom.
