Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck had done well with the Miami Hurricanes (6-1), leading the Hurricanes to a 6-0 record before facing the Louisville Cardinals. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, as Beck and the Hurricanes lost to the Louisville Cardinals 24-21.
Beck was disastrous in this game. He threw 271 yards on 35 attempts, but he threw no touchdowns and a career-high four interceptions. His QBR of 67.7 is the second-lowest mark of his 2025 season, ahead of his game against Florida (48.5).

In the first quarter, the Cardinals were up 14-0, but Beck’s defense had a couple of nice plays to force Louisville to punt for four straight drives. Miami made a 14-10 by the end of the first half, but Beck threw two interceptions.
Louisville looked like they would pull away with a 24-13 lead and a third interception from Beck. However, sophomore running back Isaac Brown fumbled the ball deep in Louisville territory, and Miami scored on the next play with a Malachi Toney run. The defense once again forced a punt, giving Miami a prime chance to tie it or go ahead, but at the Louisville 31, Carson Beck threw his fourth interception and blamed his receiver for a miscommunication.
This is Carson Beck’s first three-interception game since Nov. 2, 2024 against Florida Gators, back when he was with the Georgia Bulldogs. Miami fans are hoping he doesn’t struggle against conference competition like he did last year. Beck and the Hurricanes will try to regroup against the Stanford Cardinal (3-4) on Oct. 25.
Georgia fans are feeling confident in quarterback Gunner Stockton after his five total touchdown performance in the win over Ole Miss. Stockton has thrown six less interceptions than Beck this season and has five more total touchdowns than Beck.
