There was understandable concern among Sky fans when Reese went down with the hand issue, because her rookie season was cut short due to a wrist injury. It turned out these two injuries were unrelated, and there was some encouraging news announced by new Sky head coach Tyler Marsh on Sunday.
“Everyone is healthy after Day 1 of Sky training camp,” Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune wrote on X. “Tyler Marsh joked that his coaches were probably more tired than anyone. Angel Reese practiced fully and is not limited after missing the end of the Unrivaled season with a hand injury.”
Reese being a full-go on the first day of Sky training camp is major news. Not only does this indicate she is on track to play opening night against the Indiana Fever, but it gives her an extended opportunity to practice alongside Chicago’s new offseason additions.
