The Chicago Sky are rolling right now. This comes after their 94-83 win on Saturday night over the Dallas Wings, which marked Chicago’s second consecutive victory.

The Sky also defeated the Wings at home, 97-92, on Thursday, and they’ve now made it back-to-back victories after Saturday’s win at College Park Center.

It was a concerted effort for Chicago in this one as Angel Reese (14 points, nine rebounds, three steals), Courtney Vandersloot (15 points, seven rebounds, seven assists) and Kia Nurse (11 points, two triples), among others, all chipped in to help lead the Sky to victory.

However, it was two-time All-Star guard Ariel Atkins who stood out from the pack with an eye-catching performance. The 28-year-old went off in this one for 26 points on 8-of-14 shooting, four rebounds, three assists, four steals and four three-pointers in 26 minutes of action.

Shortly after the final buzzer, the Sky took to social media to announce Atkins as the Player of the Game.

Atkins and the Sky will want to keep it rolling in their next game, which comes in the form of a highly-anticipated matchup against the Indiana Fever on Saturday.

Indiana blew out Chicago at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in their first game of the season, 93-58, and the Sky will now be looking to exact some revenge as they play hosts for Saturday’s contest.

Unfortunately, Caitlin Clark will not be able to play on that game as the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year continues to nurse a quad injury. This should give the Sky a considerable advantage as they look to make it three wins in a row.
