Chris Drury Reportedly Addresses Rangers With Dark Cloud Looming Over The team

Could the energy be turning around for the New York Rangers?

According to Mollie Walker of The New York Post, Rangers general manager Chris Drury addressed the team as a whole for the first time since all of this chaos ensued within the organization.

The Rangers followed that meeting up with a fun and lighthearted practice which included a team-wide shootout competition even with coaches getting involved.

After practice, Vincent Trocheck personally initiated a conversation with Rangers beat reporters to clarify that the closed-door meeting that recently took place with the team didn’t have anything to do with Drury.

“When we have closed-door meetings in here, it’s about us,” Trocheck said. “It’s about what we can do. Obviously, we’re in a little bit of a hole right now, and it’s about what we can do to get out of it. It has nothing to do with management. They do their job.”

The Rangers have lost 11 out of their last 14 games as on-ice struggles and constant outside noise continue to dominate this season for New York.

Maybe Drury’s remarks are exactly what the Rangers needed to salvage their season and get back on track.
