Clay Travis speculates why the WNBA doesn’t have ‘basic gender testing rules’

The 2027 WNBA Draft declaration of former NBA players like Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White has only made things difficult for the league.

A simple solution would be to define which gender can officially play in the W and how to do that? Well, by implementing a gender test.

The lack of enthusiasm from the WNBA on the front has led to OutKick founder Clay Travis proposing a major theory on X.

“The longer WNBA goes without implementing the same basic gender testing rules as the WTA, the Olympics and the NCAA, don’t you have to ask whether they have men already playing and are afraid of the test results going public and player(s) being kicked out of the league?” Travis wrote on X.

In simple terms, Travis suspects there are already transgender athletes competing in the league, and that’s the reason why the WNBA isn’t implementing gender tests.

Of course, this remains a theory until a WNBA executive can either confirm or deny the claims made by Travis.
