Clemson has made a significant addition to its frontcourt by securing former Nevada forward Nick Davidson from the transfer portal.

The 6-foot-10 standout chose the Tigers over Virginia, Notre Dame, Washington, and Texas after visiting campus last weekend. With Brad Brownell looking to reload following key departures, landing Davidson marks an important step in reshaping the roster for the 2024-25 season.

One of the most sought-after big men in the portal, Davidson averaged 15.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last season as a junior. He also shot 37% from three-point range, showcasing his ability to score both inside and from the perimeter. His combination of size, skill, and versatility makes him a valuable addition for a Clemson team that needs impact players in the frontcourt.

Davidson had already proven himself as a strong interior presence during his sophomore season, when he posted 12.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 55% from the field. His development as both a scorer and rebounder has made him one of the top-rated players in this year’s portal, earning a No. 12 overall ranking and the distinction of being the top center available.
