Nov. 27—DURANT, Okla. — The UTPB men’s basketball team survived a nonconference clash with Southeastern Oklahoma State, winning 85-84 Tuesday on the road.
The Falcons (4-1) were led in scoring by Freddie Word’s 22 points while Dario Domingos had 21 and Alex Matthews had 19.
Domingos hit the game-winning free throws with 11.4 seconds remaining to give UTPB the win.
Southeastern Oklahoma State (2-3) led 50-39 at halftime.
The hosts were led in scoring by Daniel Halldorsson’s 27 points while Robert Briley had 17.
UTPB will return to Lone Star Conference play in its next game as the Falcons will face Texas A&M International at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at Falcon Dome.
