College football week 3 weather delays: USF-Miami and other games suspended due to harsh conditions originally appeared on The Sporting News
Once again, a college football Saturday is being affected by rain delays.

In Coral Gables, Florida, Lubbock, Texas and West Lafayette, Indiana, games are being pushed back due to lightning in the area. This comes after there were multiple delays, including in Troy-Clemson and Austin Peay-Georgia in Week 2.

College football weather updates
6:00 p.m.: In West Lafayette, Purdue football announced that gates to Ross-Martin Stadium will open at 6:15 p.m., and USC vs Purdue will kickoff at 6:45 p.m.
5:58 p.m.: Texas Tech and Oregon State will resume at 6:10 p.m. ET in Lubbock.
5:56 p.m.: In South Florida, the delay was extended until 6:33 p.m., with lightning still in the area.
5:45 p.m.: Three games — USF vs Miami, Oregon State vs Texas Tech and USC vs Purdue — are currently in delays.

5:29 p.m.: In Coral Gables, the forecast does not look promising.
5:28 p.m.: Hard Rock Stadium notified fans that lightning has been detected within eight miles of the stadium. Miami football urged fans to shelter, and Hard Rock Stadium even offered a re-entry if fans leave the stadium.
The game got delayed with 13:45 remaining in the second, and it’s yet to be known when the top-20 matchup will resume at Hard Rock Stadium.
