Just two days after bringing in Walker Andersen on a visit and extending an offer, Colorado landed a commitment from the promising young player on Saturday.
A former UCLA Bruin and native of the Los Angeles area, Andersen is a 6-foot-8 versatile offensive lineman. While Andersen is primarily a guard, he can move out to tackle if necessary, using his 82-inch wingspan to control defensive linemen at the line of scrimmage.

Andersen didn’t appear in a game for the Bruins last season, using up his redshirt season, so he’ll head to Boulder with four years of eligibility remaining. Not a projected starter this season, but judging by his commitment announcement, Andersen appears devoted to improving his game.
Before receiving his offer from the Buffaloes, Andersen received only one offer from another FBS school, the former FCS program the Missouri State Bears, with all his other offers being from FCS schools. He was unrated by 247 Sports coming out of high school and in the transfer portal.
Andersen is the fourth addition to the Buffaloes’ offensive line room in the spring transfer portal window. Colorado added Andre Roye Jr. from Maryland, Larry Johnson III from Tennessee and Xavier Hill from Memphis, reaffirming head coach Deion Sanders’ commitment to building up the Buffaloes’ offensive line.
