In another historic achievement for the University of Colorado and Colorado football, the program has sold out its season tickets for the third consecutive year under head coach Deion Sanders, marking the 11th time in school history.
The sellout highlights the profound impact Sanders has had on the Buffaloes’ football program and the surrounding Boulder community.

Since Sanders arrived at Colorado, the Buffaloes have experienced a remarkable resurgence back to national prominence. The team improved from a 1-11 record in 2022, before he arrived, to a 4-8 record during his debut season. The following year, the Buffaloes went 9-4, securing a spot in the Alamo Bowl and marking their first bowl appearance since 2020. The turnaround has been accompanied by increased attendance and a surge in new fans.
Colorado lost its top two players to the NFL in 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and 2024 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year Shedeur Sanders. Deion Sanders will have to coach without those two key pieces for the first time in three seasons.
Only time will tell if a repeat performance is in the cards, but with one of the Big 12’s toughest schedules, it will be a daunting task. A packed Folsom Field will be there to witness, however, the 2025 season plays out.

Sanders’ third season in charge of the Buffaloes kicks off Aug. 29 against Georgia Tech (6 p.m. MT, ESPN) at Folsom Field.
