Under head coach Deion Sanders, Colorado football has largely neglected the state in high school recruiting. While the Centennial State is not known for being a football powerhouse, there are diamonds in the rough each year.
One of those diamonds is class of 2028 quarterback Titus Huard, son of former University of Washington and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Brock Huard. The Buffs made an offer to Huard on Sunday, joining several schools that had recently offered the quarterback.

The younger Huard plays for former Colorado interim head coach Mike Sanford at Valor Christian High School in Littleton, Colorado, where his father is also the tight ends coach.
Huard has yet to be ranked by any recruiting outlet, but his 14 offers as a sophomore make him an already hot commodity on the recruiting trail. He holds offers from Washington, Texas Tech, Oregon, Colorado State, Kansas State, Arkansas and others.
At 6-foot-5, 205 pounds, Huard is a prototypical size for a quarterback, but also a starting pitcher. Huard advertises himself on social media as a quarterback, pitcher and power forward. He clearly has the quarterback position down, but it will be interesting to watch how his final two years of high school unfold regarding his other sporting interests.

Huard is coming off a sophomore season where he completed 127 of 184 passes for 1,946 yards and 16 touchdowns. His team reached the 5A state semifinals.
A commitment from Huard would be significant for Sanders and CU, given the in-state and coaching connections, as well as the prestige of the schools currently involved.
