The transfer portal is already buzzing with hundreds of players hoping to find more playing time or, in this day and age, more money elsewhere.
Many teams in these second and third-tier postseason tournaments have to deal with the brunt of the transfer portal. Colorado basketball is no different, as redshirt freshman guard Courtney Anderson entered the transfer portal Wednesday morning.
Anderson redshirted his true freshman season before playing in four games this year. The California native was rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN and the No. 15 player in the state.

Colorado basketball’s season is not over like the sixteen teams left in the NCAA tournament and the teams still playing in the NIT. The Buffs will play in the inaugural College Basketball Crown beginning March 31st in Las Vegas.
Anderson’s subtraction is not a significant blow for the Buffs, who seem likely to keep the majority of their roster together ahead of their College Basketball Crown first-round game against Villanova.
Tab Boyle and company will continue to work the transfer portal in search of roster improvements for next season ahead of their game in Vegas on April 1.
