Colorado offers four-star offensive tackle from Hawaii

New Colorado football offensive line coach Gunnar White has his eyes on a four-star talent from Hawaii.

On Wednesday, class of 2026 offensive tackle Malakai Lee revealed that he picked up an offer from the Buffs after speaking with White. Lee is the top-ranked prospect from Hawaii and the No. 11 OT in his class, according to the 247Sports composite.

Colorado doesn’t have an easy path toward landing Lee’s commitment, however. Earlier this month, the 6-foot-6, 318-pound prospect from Kaneohe, Hawaii, announced a top six featuring the Michigan Wolverines, BYU Cougars, USC Trojans, Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns.

As of this writing, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is still searching for his first class of 2026 commitment.

Colorado’s offensive line boasts plenty of young talent heading into next season, including left tackle Jordan Seaton, center Cash Cleveland and incoming freshmen Carde Smith, Jay Gardenhire and Chauncey Gooden.
