Colorado State Adds Brynn Sproul as Assistant Coach
Colorado State on Thursday announced the hiring of Brynn Sproul to its women’s swimming and diving coaching staff.
Sproul joins the staff of head coach Christopher Woodard after the Las Vegas native spent two seasons at UNLV. She was a director of operations for the first season, then an assistant coach in 2025-26.
Sproul starred at BYU, where she still holds the program record in the 200 backstroke. She qualified for U.S. Olympic Trials.
“I’m incredibly grateful and excited to join the Colorado State swim & dive family. Coach Woodard has built a culture centered on excellence, meaningful relationships, and developing outstanding student-athletes, and I’m honored to work alongside him and the rest of the staff,” Sproul said in a team press release. “I’m excited to invest in our student-athletes, help build on the success and momentum of this program, and contribute as we begin an exciting new chapter in the Pac-12. Go Rams!”
Sproul led UNLV to two top-three results at the Mountain West Championships. She also spent a year coaching with Team Rebel Aquatics, her club team growing up. She was a standout at Del Sol High School, setting a state record in the 200 back.
At BYU, she was a seven-time first-team all-conference selection, winning individual conference championships in three events. She was a four-time NCAA Academic All-American who graduated in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders and earned a master’s degree in management and leadership from Western Governor’s University in 2025.

She is a coach on the rise and will provide our team with some punch, especially in the mid-distance stroke and individual medley events.”
