Colorado football added 40-plus transfers this offseason, and one of them made their Colorado athletic debut Saturday afternoon.
Sacramento State transfer wide receiver Ernest Campbell competed for the Buffs in the Colorado Classic. Campbell ran the 60m, winning his heat and coming in fourth overall with a time of 6.76 seconds. His time ranks 9th-fastest in program history.

While Campbell came to Colorado to play football, he was a high school track star and competed with Texas A&M during the 2025 season. His college bests include a 6.73 60m, 10.02 100m and a 20.90 200m.
Due to Campbell’s football commitments, it is unclear when we will see him next on the track. The Big 12 Indoor Championships are scheduled for February 27-28, which seems like a good bet for Campbell’s next appearance, if not the week before at the Colorado Last Chance meet.
