The NASCAR Truck Series competed at Darlington Raceway and it was a thrilling event. Christian Eckes won Stage 1 while Kaden Honeycutt won Stage 2; however, neither driver entered victory lane on Friday night. Instead, it was a different TRICON Garage driver that used fresher tires to win the Truck Series event.
Corey Heim and the No. 5 team for TRICON Garage won the Buckle Up South Carolina 200 at Darlington, earning their first victory of the 2026 Truck Series season. Heim passed Ross Chastain in the final corners of the race after pitting for fresher tires before the first attempt at NASCAR overtime.
If not for the first caution, Heim wouldn’t have been in position to win at Darlington. However, the 2025 Truck Series champion gained the track position needed to pull off a dramatic finish. Heim won’t be running full-time in 2026, but he hopes to pile up race victories throughout the season.
